The main aim of the present research is to study perfect tenses in the English newspaper articles. To achieve this aim we have identified the following tasks to be solved in the frame of the research: - to study tense system in English newspaper articles - To study development of Present perfect - to study tense system in English newspaper articles - to find out frequency of use of the PP in British English and American English - to compare Present Perfect and Simple Past tenses The present course work consists of: Introduction, two chapters and Conclusion. In Chapter one we gave the general information about tense system in English newspaper articles. In Chapter two we have studied perfect tenses and their use in American English and British English.
