Описание работы

In linguistics, a transformational grammar or transformational-generative grammar (TGG) is a generative grammar, especially of a natural language, that has been developed in a Chomskyan tradition. Additionally, transformational grammar is the Chomskyan tradition that gives rise to specific transformational grammars. Much current research in transformational grammar is inspired by Chomsky's Minimalist Program. The object of the course paper is grammatical transformations. The subject is the ways of translating grammar patterns from English into Russian. The research methods used in the work are descriptive, analytical and analysis. The aim: to define the main types of grammatical transformation and their characteristics in the present investigation work. In order to achieve the main aim we must define the tasks of the work: - To give definition to translation in general, its object and types; - To go through the history of development of transformational grammar; - To enumerate the types and characteristics of transformational grammar; - To define the main types of grammatical transformations; - To look through equivalent and equivalent-lacking forms and structures as grammatical transformation.
